Brian Thomas Jr. Injury Update for Fantasy Football
A recent report from Jaguars beat reporter John Shipley indicates that Thomas is expected to return in Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans. Thomas was relatively close to playing in the last two games after being listed as questionable and then ultimately being ruled out, and it will be interesting to see what his usage looks like upon returning.
Feels like a real chance this week we see a #Jaguars offense that finally has all of its weapons (sans Travis Hunter).

The Jaguars traded for Jakobi Meyers at the trade deadline, and third-year wideout Parker Washington has also emerged as a reliable threat in Thomas' absence. In addition, tight end Brenton Strange returned last week in Arizona and looked good, catching all five targets for 93 yards.
Brian Thomas Jr. Fantasy Football Outlook
Thomas is still one of the most explosive players in football when he is healthy. The LSU product is one of just four players to reach 22 mph or more as a ball carrier this season, a list that includes Jonathan Taylor, Jahmyr Gibbs, and TreVeyon Henderson. But it's undoubtedly been an underwhelming sophomore season after a record-setting rookie season, where he finished with 87 receptions for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns on 133 targets, finishing as the WR11 in PPR points per game (16.7).

In eight games this season, he has struggled to be consistent, and drops have been a major issue. Thomas has just 30 receptions for 420 yards on 60 targets and two total touchdowns, seeing his PPR points per game crater to 10.7 and ranking as the WR42. Hopefully, this three-game absence allowed him to heal from the myriad of injuries he had and deliver an end-of-season stretch similar to his rookie year.
Over the final six weeks of 2024, Thomas averaged 22.9 PPR points per game, trailing only Ja'Marr Chase. Jacksonville's offensive situation is different this season, and Thomas hasn't quite looked like the same guy, but we've still seen flashes of it at times this season. For now, Thomas can be viewed as a WR2/WR3 for Week 13 against the Titans.
