Week 13 Waiver Wire Pickups - Devin Neal, Emanuel Wilson, Chris Rodriguez Jr. Fantasy Football Outlooks

Emanuel Wilson - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Rankinks, Draft Sleepers

Week 13 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Devin Neal, Emanuel Wilson, Chris Rodriguez Jr. in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.

Thanksgiving week has arrived, and fantasy managers who scooped Emanuel Wilson off the waiver wire in Week 12 have plenty to be thankful for, unless you were going against Jahmyr Gibbs.

Week 13 is another big week for waiver wire pickups with the fantasy playoffs just two weeks away. In this article, we'll highlight three running backs to consider adding this week, including Wilson, along with New Orleans Saints rookie Devin Neal and Washington Commanders Chris Rodriguez Jr.

Should fantasy managers add Neal, Wilson, and Rodriguez in Week 13? Let's dive in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Devin Neal Week 13 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 1.8% of ESPN Leagues

Baller Move: Add in All Leagues

Alvin Kamara suffered a sprained MCL in Sunday's loss to the Falcons and will undergo an MRI to determine the severity. It seems like the veteran will miss some time, and Neal stepped into a full-time role in his absence. Neal finished the game with a 74.4% snap share, handling seven carries for 18 yards to go with five catches (seven targets) for 43 yards as a receiver.

Taysom Hill was still more involved than we would want to see, leading the team with 10 carries for 17 yards. Hill may steal most of the work down near the goal line, but Neal could be a three-down back in the other situations and rack up plenty of receptions underneath. The Saints' offense will probably limit any significant upside for the rookie, but the volume will likely make him a viable fill-in at RB2/flex moving forward, assuming that Kamara misses time.

The rookie sixth-rounder was a workhorse at the University of Kansas, totaling over 5,000 yards from scrimmage on 6.0 yards per touch and scoring 53 touchdowns in four seasons. Neal will be one of the top adds off the waiver wire this week with a great matchup on deck in Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins.

Emanuel Wilson Week 13 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 74.6% of ESPN Leagues

Baller Move: Add in All leagues

Wilson was the top add off the wire last week, and he delivered a gem for fantasy managers who scooped him up and plugged him into their lineup, recording 28 carries for 107 yards and two touchdowns to go with two receptions (two targets) for 18 yards. Stashing these handcuff backs before the starter goes down is a proven strategy that has delivered massive returns for fantasy managers over the years.

The 26-year-old finished as the RB2 in Week 12 with 26.5 PPR points. Despite how productive Jacobs has been, Wilson was the first Packer to go over 100 rushing yards in a game this season. Wilson's 60.7% rushing success rate was the fifth-highest by a running back with at least 25 carries in a game this season, per Zach Kruse on X.

That kind of week-winning upside is exactly what made Wilson worth the aggressive FAAB bid last week. Josh Jacobs (knee) was close to suiting up in Week 12 and is expected to be back on Thanksgiving against the Lions, but Wilson should still be a priority add as it's not a guarantee that Jacobs returns, and the possibility of a re-injury is plausible. We should get an update on Jacobs' status for Thursday on Monday or Tuesday this week. If he is unable to go, then Wilson would be a must-start again in Week 13.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Week 13 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 8.8% of ESPN Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 12-Team Leagues

Rodriguez led the Washington backfield as expected in their Week 11 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Madrid. The 25-year-old logged 45.5% snap share, handling 15 carries for 79 yards while adding one catch for six yards on eight routes across 32 dropbacks. The fantasy production was modest without a touchdown at just 9.5 PPR points, and he'll likely need to find the end zone to have an impactful outing for managers.

The third-year back out of Kentucky scored in each of the prior two games before the Dolphins, and has a firm hold on the goal line work with his powerful running style and ability to fall forward after contact. Rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt has stayed a relevant piece of the backfield and played a few drives of his own, while Jeremy McNichols plays on pass downs, which will limit Rodriguez's upside.

Rodriguez's ceiling for fantasy is still capped as he's an early down back with little to no receiving upside, but he is the favorite to lead the Commanders in touches over the final stretch of the season. He's flashed improved speed and the ability to break off explosive runs in his limited sample this season. And second-year quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow) is expected to return at some point this season, which will be a big boost to the entire offense and the running game. Rodriguez should be added in 12-team leagues after Washington's Week 12 bye, especially in standard leagues where his lack of receiving isn't a major drawback.
