Week 10 Daily Fantasy Football Tournament Stacks

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston likes throwing to wide receiver Mike Evans. Check that -- Winston loves throwing to Evans. The third-year wideout was targeted a whopping 17 times last Thursday, resulting in an 11-catch, 150-yard, two-touchdown gem for fantasy players. A Winston-Evans stack was highly productive last week.

The goal of this weekly column is to help find the most profitable DFS stacks, while avoiding the duds. Stacking, or pairing multiple players from the same NFL team, is an ideal way to maximize your point production, which is crucial in larger GPP (guaranteed prize pool) tournaments. Let's take a look at some of the top DFS stacks for Week 10, loosely sorted by salary.

High Priced Week 10 DFS Stacks

Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger and WR Antonio Brown vs. Dallas

At some point, these two are going to click. Will it be this Sunday against the Cowboys? Possibly, and that alone is worth the gamble despite the high price tag. Brown has only topped 100 yards once in his last five games, though he does have four touchdowns over that stretch.

Roethlisberger returned to action in Week 9, but clearly was not fully recovered from knee surgery. Another week should help Big Ben round into form. The Cowboys have looked great this season, but their defense is still beatable.

Tampa Bay QB Jameis Winston and WR Mike Evans vs. Chicago

Winston has had his ups and downs in his second NFL season, but there's no disputing how great his favorite target has been -- Evans is a legitimate stud. The former Texas A&M standout entered Week 10 ranked fourth in the NFL in receptions (55), fifth in receiving yards (745) and first in receiving touchdowns (eight).

The Bears have been torched by opposing receivers this season. Over its last four games, Chicago has surrendered six touchdowns to wideouts. Evans' price tag has skyrocketed of late, but he's such a solid bet to find the end zone this weekend. He'll be popular, but for good reason.

New Orleans QB Drew Brees and WR Brandin Cooks vs. Denver

While it's true that the Broncos have been one of the stingiest teams against opposing wide receivers this season, Denver's defense looks considerably more vulnerable without cornerback Aqib Talib. If Talib misses another game this Sunday with a back injury, Cooks becomes an elite play at home.

Brees is matchup-proof, particularly in the Superdome. Brees passed for 265 yards and accounted for two total touchdowns in Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks, a similarly-dominant defense with an elite secondary.

Moderately Priced Week 10 DFS Stacks

Carolina QB Cam Newton and WR Kelvin Benjamin vs. Kansas City

The Panthers' offense was largely held in check by the Los Angeles Rams this past Sunday, but Benjamin still managed to finish with five receptions for 76 yards. The Chiefs have been far more generous to opposing wide receivers this season.

Newton, the reigning NFL MVP, has accounted for just one touchdown over this last two games. That could cause him to go overlooked this week, particularly in a matchup with a well-respected defense. Tight end Greg Olsen is the safer stack, but Benjamin hasn't scored since Week 4 -- he feels due for a touchdown.

Dallas QB Dak Prescott and WR Dez Bryant at Pittsburgh

Prescott stayed hot in this past weekend's rout of the winless Cleveland Browns. Bryant did not. The Cowboys' star receiver finished with just one reception for 19 yards, a week after posting a 4-113-1 line in his return from a knee injury.

Pittsburgh's defense doesn't exactly resemble the Steel Curtain these days. The Steelers are allowing 276 passing yards per game, which ranks 24th in the NFL. Look for Bryant to bounce back in this matchup.

Arizona QB Carson Palmer and WR Larry Fitzgerald vs. San Francisco

DFS players will be all over running back David Johnson this week, and for good reason. He's arguably fantasy's top overall back this season, and the 49ers' rush defense has been downright dreadful. No one will fault you for rostering Johnson.

However, if you want to be a bit contrarian, while still having exposure to the Cardinals' offense, go with a Palmer-Fitzgerald stack. Fitzgerald finished with 81 yards and a pair of touchdowns against San Francisco back in Week 5. A similar performance this Sunday could be in store.

Bargain Week 10 DFS Stacks

Philadelphia QB Carson Wentz and WR Jordan Matthews vs. Atlanta

Wentz has been up and down this season, but he is coming off a career-high 364 passing yards in this past Sunday's loss to the New York Giants. He might be forced to top that total this Sunday to keep pace with Atlanta's high-powered offense.

Game flow matters here, as the Falcons tend to play high-scoring games. Atlanta is allowing 290 passing yards per game (31st in NFL), so there is considerable upside here. This is the best value stack of the week.

Kansas City QB Alex Smith and TE Travis Kelce at Carolina

The Panthers' defense has been stout against the run (77.5 yards allowed per game; third in NFL), and poor against the pass (286 yards allowed per game; 29th). This bodes well for Smith, who returns after a one-game absence due to a concussion.

The Chiefs could be without top wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, further boosting Kelce's already-high fantasy value. Monitor Maclin's status, but consider Kelce a viable stack with Smith.
