ANALYSIS: Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson has missed the past two games because of an ankle injury. Hopefully, the rookie running back can play in Sunday’s season finale against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Cardinals could be without James Conner in Week 18 after the star running back re-aggravated his knee sprain in Saturday’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams. With Arizona eliminated from the playoffs, the team has no reason to let the veteran play in the season finale.

Therefore, Benson could be the Cardinals’ lead running back against the 49ers. Fantasy players should add the rookie running back off the waiver wire. If he can play against the division rivals, Benson has top-15 upside. San Francisco has surrendered 35 or more half-point PPR fantasy points to opposing running backs in three of their past five games heading into tonight’s matchup.
