BALLER MOVE: Don't start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-end Flex
ANALYSIS:
The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has caught just five catches since returning from injury in Week 13. Higgins hauled in two of his four targets for 72 yards in the Week 15 win over the Indianapolis Colts and the wideout has now totaled 32 catches for 436 yards and two touchdowns this season. With only a few weeks remaining in the season, fantasy managers are wondering if they can confidently start Higgins in Week 15.
There is no surprise that the fourth-year wideout has struggled this season, after achieving a 1,000-yard receiving season in his last two years, Higgins has yet to reach 500 yards through 14 weeks played this year. The quarterback situation hasn't been friendly either, as star quarterback Joe Burrow had a season-ending wrist injury in Week 11 which has deflated Higgins' value severely. Of course, the star wide receiver is seeing the playing time and has seen over 70 percent snap percentage in each of his last two games, but he can no longer be viewed as a must-start option.
In Week 15, the Cincinnati Bengals will face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers who rank 14th in the NFL in fewest receiving yards allowed this season which could hurt Higgins' value on top of his already low ceiling. The Bengals will roll out quarterback Jake Browning who has been impressive, to say the least, hasn't quite found chemistry with Higgins but has been able to put together back-to-back winning performances. Due to recent production, Higgins can be viewed as a low-end flex option this week and fantasy managers should be cautious about starting the wideout in Week 15.
Tee Higgins is listed as 42nd in our Half-PPR rankings.
