Despite splitting carries with D'Andre Swift, Johnson has proven he can be a valuable asset in the Chicago Bears' backfield. In his last game against the Rams, Johnson tallied seven carries for 26 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability to capitalize on goal-line opportunities.
His steady involvement in the offense indicates he’s more than just a backup, particularly in short-yardage and red-zone situations. The Bears coaching staff has also come out and stated that they need to get Johnson more involved in the offense.
