Rashee Rice's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 16 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Rashee Rice for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice caught all nine of his targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in the Week 15 win over the New England Patriots. The rookie has had an excellent season so far, totaling 68 catches for 754 yards and seven touchdowns through 15 weeks of play.
It's safe to say that the Chiefs' wideout has officially broken out as Rice has been used as the team's number one wide receiver. In the last four weeks, Rice has totaled 38 targets for 334 yards and three touchdowns while also seeing an increase in snap percentage. There has been no surprise that the Chiefs' wide receiver group has struggled this season, but the rookie has officially arrived and he could be a league-winning asset catching footballs from star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Rice has put quietly put an end to that discussion as after last week, he has now totaled the most receiving touchdowns by a rookie in Chiefs franchise history with seven touchdowns.
In Week 16, the Chiefs will face off against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders currently sit 10th in the NFL in fewest receiving yards allowed and 18th in the NFL in most receiving touchdowns allowed this season. Of course, on paper, the matchup doesn't benefit Rice, but the wideout seems to have found a consistent floor with high-play volume opportunity. Fantasy managers can view Rice as a solid WR2 this week with possible WR1 upside if the wideout is able to find himself his third touchdown in three straight games.
Rashee Rice is listed as the WR16 in our Half-PPR rankings.
