Houston Texans running back Nick Chubb (ribs) was not seen at the portion of practice open to the media on Friday, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Sports. Chubb injured his ribs in the Sunday night win over the Kansas City Chiefs and has not been able to practice all week. The Texans have yet to release their final Week 15 injury report, but it's looking like Chubb will be ruled out. The 29-year-old veteran hasn't been very explosive in his first year in Houston and ceded lead-back duties to rookie Woody Marks long ago. When active, Chubb doesn't profile as much more than a touchdown-dependent, low-upside RB3/flex option in deeper fantasy leagues. He has 115 carries on the year for 472 yards and three touchdowns, and has added 58 receiving yards. If Chubb is officially ruled out, it will open up a bigger role for Dare Ogunbowale as the RB2 behind Marks against the Cardinals on Sunday.--Keith Hernandez

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that running back Josh Jacobs (knee) will practice in a limited fashion on Friday after missing the last two days, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN. "It sounds like he's feeling pretty good," LaFleur said. The Packers must still see how Jacobs' knee is feeling after the workout, but the star RB at least has a chance to play this Sunday against the Denver Broncos. The 27-year-old injured his knee in the Week 11 win over the New York Giants and was held out the following week, but he has played the last two games while handling his normal workhorse role, carrying the ball 37 times for 169 rushing yards and a touchdown. However, Jacobs' knee stiffened up during the win over the Bears on Sunday, putting his availability in question for Week 15. The good news is that he's not dealing with any structural damage. The bad news is that he could share more work with Emanuel Wilson on Sunday if he's active.--Keith Hernandez

New York Jets tight end Mason Taylor (neck) won't be available for Sunday's road clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. The 21-year-old sustained a neck injury in last weekend's 34-10 loss to the Dolphins that caused him to begin the week with two DNPs at practice. It will be the first missed game of the LSU product's career. Taylor isn't the only starter the Jets will be missing in Week 15, as rookie signal-caller Brady Cook will get the start in veteran Tyrod Taylor's (groin) stead. With Taylor out, fellow tight end Jeremy Ruckert will slot in as the team's first option at the position. Andrew Beck and Stone Smartt (concussion) figure to rotate in behind him.--Alex Ciulla

According to the New York Post's Brian Costello, New York Jets quarterback Brady Cook will get the start for this weekend's road tilt with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Cook was thrust into action in the team's loss to the Dolphins in Week 14, following an injury to starting QB Tyrod Taylor (groin). With Taylor's injury lingering and Justin Fields (knee) dealing with an issue of his own, the rookie will make his first NFL start against the hosting Jaguars. The 24-year-old looked like a fish out of water last Sunday in his limited time on the field, and he won't be a recommended fantasy option when he squares off with Jacksonville in Week 15. With the first-year pro under center, it wouldn't be surprising to see New York lean on the ground game. However, the team may be without their starting RB, Breece Hall (knee), who is battling a knee injury.--Alex Ciulla

ESPN's Ben Baby reports that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (concussion) was not seen at Friday's team practice. It's a step in the wrong direction for the Clemson product, who had practiced in a limited capacity during the two sessions leading up to Friday. Higgins was evaluated for a concussion in Week 14's 39-34 loss to the Buffalo Bills, although he would be cleared to return to the contest. Unfortunately, the 26-year-old would hit concussion protocol following the game, putting his status for Week 15 -- and potentially the rest of the season -- in doubt. If Higgins is unable to suit up for Sunday's outing with the visiting Baltimore Ravens, teammates Andrei Iosivas, Mitchell Tinsley, and Charlie Jones would mix in behind Ja'Marr Chase in the offensive attack.--Alex Ciulla

According to offensive coordinator Frank Smith, the Miami Dolphins expect running back De'Von Achane (ribs) to be ready for Monday night's matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The former Texas A&M Aggie picked up a rib injury in Week 14's 34-10 win over their division-rival New York Jets, posting 105 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on just eight total touches. Achane would start the week with a limited practice on Thursday. However, he is expected to be a full go for his matchup on Monday Night Football, as head coach Mike McDaniel noted that the 24-year-old could have returned to last weekend's game if it were more competitive. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Achane's status over the weekend, but he'll be an elite RB1 play in Week 15 if he's active.--Alex Ciulla

Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman said that he's unsure whether it would be running backs Omarion Hampton or Kimani Vidal getting the bulk of the backfield work moving forward. "It's so fluid. It could change at a drop of a hat, and I'm always going to go with the hot hand," said Roman. "You never know who that's going to be...But right now I'm seeing two guys with the hot hand, so that's a good problem to have." While that may be a favorable position for a head coach, it clouds the actual value of this backfield for fantasy. It makes sense that LA would increase the rookie's snap share as he's further removed from injury, but if Vidal keeps running hot, the latter may get the opportunity to run away with the job for the remainder of the season. For now, fantasy managers can approach this as something of a committee, although who leads it will vary weekly. The duo will face a tough Kansas City front in Week 15.--Alex Ciulla

After leaving early from his team's Week 13 loss to the New England Patriots due to a hip injury, New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (hip) looked like he could be headed for missed time. However, Tracy Jr. was able to rest during New York's Week 14 bye, and Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka declared him good to go for the team's Week 15 matchup against the Washington Commanders. In the two games immediately before suffering the injury in Week 13, Tracy Jr. looked to be emerging. He recorded 269 scrimmage yards on 46 touches across those two weeks. While the Giants figure to continue splitting touches between Tracy Jr. and veteran back Devin Singletary, Tracy Jr. is the higher-upside option and has proven an ability to be a consistent weapon in the pass game. Across 28 career NFL games, he's hauled in 60 receptions for 487 yards and a touchdown on 84 targets. As long as he can stay healthy, Tracy Jr. could emerge as a consistent starting running back option for fantasy managers down the stretch of the season.--Will Brady

Across 10 games so far this season, Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely has recorded 22 receptions for 248 yards and a touchdown on 31 targets. While his full-season numbers don't jump off the page, the 25-year-old appears to be trending upwards. Over his last two games, Likely has hauled in nine catches for 124 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets. If not for an ill-fated fumble at the goal line in Week 13 and a questionable call on a dropped touchdown in Week 14, Likely might have three scores over the last two weeks. Given veteran tight end Mark Andrews' (glute) presence in Baltimore, Likely's playing time usually has a defined ceiling. However, Andrews popped up on Thursday's injury report as a limited practice participant due to a glute injury heading into Baltimore's Week 15 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. If Andrews is facing any sort of missed time, Likely would immediately emerge as a high-upside starting tight end option for fantasy managers.--Will Brady

Green Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson has spent the majority of the 2025 season in a backup role to his superstar teammate, running back Josh Jacobs (knee). However, Jacobs is battling a lingering knee injury that has held him out of practice on both Wednesday and Thursday heading into the team's Week 15 matchup against the Denver Broncos. In the one game that Jacobs has missed so far this season, Wilson recorded 125 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns on 30 touches against the Minnesota Vikings. If Jacobs were to miss additional time, Wilson would immediately vault into being a clear starting fantasy running back. Along with the potential for playing time, Wilson has proven himself capable of solid production. Across 37 career NFL games, he's averaged 4.6 yards per carry and scored eight touchdowns. Until Jacobs proves to be fully clear of the knee injury that has plagued him since Week 11, Wilson is a must-roster player with league-winning upside.--Will Brady

Considering he was the No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 draft, Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland got off to a little bit of a slow start to his NFL career. However, the 21-year-old has started to emerge over the second half of the season. Across six games since Week 9, Loveland has recorded 24 receptions for 319 yards and four touchdowns on 31 targets. While he continues to split reps with Bears tight end Cole Kmet, Loveland has established himself as the clear top receiving option at the position in Chicago. Over that same six-game stretch, Kmet has seen just 16 targets. Given his draft pedigree and his seemingly improving chemistry with Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, Loveland has significant upside over the season's final weeks. He profiles as a fringe fantasy TE1 in Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns.--Will Brady

Given the highly inconsistent play they've received at the quarterback position, the Minnesota Vikings' pass offense has been an overall disappointment so far in 2025. However, wide receiver Jordan Addison (Achilles) has been showing signs of life in recent weeks. Addison has earned at least seven targets in four out of his last five games heading into a favorable Week 15 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The 23-year-old has been a limited practice participant so far this week due to an Achilles injury, so fantasy managers should monitor his progress before inserting him into their Week 15 lineup. Assuming Addison can avoid missed time, he may be establishing himself as a reliable target earner. If Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy can build upon his encouraging showing in Minnesota's Week 14 over the Washington Commanders, Addison could re-establish consistent fantasy value down the stretch of the season.--Will Brady

Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy has largely struggled so far this season. Across seven starts, the 22-year-old has completed 56% of his pass attempts for 1,092 yards, nine touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. However, McCarthy had one of his best performances of the season in his team's Week 14 win over the Washington Commanders, completing 16 of 23 pass attempts for 163 yards, three touchdowns, and zero turnovers. McCarthy has also shown some ability to provide production with his legs, rushing for 139 yards and two touchdowns so far this season. Given that McCarthy has only cracked 170 passing yards in one start, fantasy managers should keep their expectations moderate. Still, McCarthy profiles as a high-end fantasy QB2 in a favorable Week 15 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys and could be trending upward down the stretch of the season.--Will Brady

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kenneth Gainwell has remained a steady, consistent piece of this Steelers offense for a majority of the season, but even more so over the past month and a half. Since Week 10, this Steelers backfield has become an actual split between Gainwell and Jaylen Warren. For most of the first half of the season, it had appeared Warren was gaining steam and control of the backfield, but a handful of injuries to Warren opened up the door for Gainwell, and he took advantage of his opportunities and has earned more playing time. Since Week 10, Gainwell has rushed for 151 yards on 28 carries (5.39 YPC), has 23 receptions for 167 receiving yards, and is averaging 14.6 fantasy points per game. He is consistently getting more involved than Warren in the receiving game, and moving forward, can be viewed as an RB3/flex option. In Week 15, the Steelers take on the Miami Dolphins, who rank middle-of-the-pack in points allowed against opposing running backs.--Nicho Roessler

New England Patriots rookie running back out of Ohio State, TreVeyon Henderson, has been seeing his workload decrease since the return of Rhamondre Stevenson from injury. However, he is earning significantly more work than he was earlier in the year, when Stevenson was playing a majority of the snaps in the first eight weeks of the season. The backfield has appeared to turn into a true running back by committee, with both playing roughly 50 percent of the snaps in Week 13 (Stevenson 58% and Henderson 49%). Regardless, they play the Buffalo Bills in Week 15, who allow the sixth most points to the running back position in fantasy, and Henderson should be expected to see 10-15 total touches, making him a strong RB2 play for the week. On the season, Henderson has 625 rushing yards (4.84 YPC), 199 receiving yards on 38 targets (32 receptions), and six total touchdowns (five on the ground and one through the air). He has been very explosive when given the opportunity, and when you combine the explosiveness with the good matchup, that makes him a solid play in Week 15.--Nicho Roessler
