Zach Wilson Electric In Pro Day Workout
4 years agoBYU quarterback Zach Wilson didn't take part in any physical testing at his school's Pro Day on Friday after tweaking his hamstring a few weeks ago, choosing to stick with a throwing session and measurements. Wilson was electric during his workout and impressed with his ability to throw accurately on the run. He measured 6-foot-2 1/8 and 214 pounds with a hand size at 9 1/2 inches, which is big enough not to raise any concerns. "(He) made some incredible off-platform throws. To the right, to the left," said NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah. Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is expected to go first overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars in this year's draft, while Wilson is firmly in play at No. 2 overall if the New York Jets decide to move on from Sam Darnold this offseason. If The Jets pass on Wilson, the San Francisco 49ers would be in position to take him as their QB of the future after their blockbuster deal with the Miami Dolphins on Friday.
