MarShawn Lloyd Plays With Starters, Tallies 48 Total Yards In Preseason Win
MarShawn Lloyd was well-involved with the starting unit in the Packers' 23-19 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Green Bay's second preseason tune-up. Josh Jacobs' status as the Packers' top rusher is not in question at all, but behind him, there are questions with multiple backs vying for the remaining time and workload behind Jacobs. Lloyd has been out in front of players like Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks for most of training camp, and on Saturday, Lloyd saw six carries for 15 yards, plus a 33-yard reception from quarterback Malik Willis. As it stands now, Lloyd would be the player to draft as a contingency play if something were to happen to Jacobs during the regular season. He's worth drafting in the deepest leagues as a bench stash, but Lloyd is a name to keep in the back of your mind when looking for handcuffs for some of the top-end backs in fantasy.
