Zach Plesac To Make Debut On Tuesday
6 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Zach Plesac will make his major league debut on Tuesday against the Red Sox. The 12th-round pick out of Ball State in 2016 was 4-1 with a 1.41 ERA in nine starts in the minors this year and was recently promoted from Double-A Akron to Triple-A Columbus. The nephew of former big league pitcher Dan Plesac struck out 56 batters and walked seven in 57 1/3 innings. Plesac throws a mid-90s fastball with a curveball, slider and changeup. While he won't be a recommended streamer in deeper leagues in his big league debut, Plesac could be worth a pickup in deeper setups if he's effective and sticks in the Tribe's rotation.
