Yohendrick Pinango Hits First Triple-A Home Run
Yohendrick Pinango went 2-for-2 with his first home run and three walks during their contest against Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday evening. Pinango got the call to Triple-A on June 1 after an impressive start to the season with Double-A. At Double-A, the No. 24-ranked prospect in the Toronto system held a stellar .298/.406/.522 slash line with 10 doubles, eight home runs, and 42:27 K:BB. During his first taste of Triple-A, Pinango has continued to swing a hot bat, going 3-for-8 at the plate with four walks and no strikeouts. The 23-year-old spent most of the 2024 campaign at the Double-A level and may not need much more development with Triple-A. If he continues to produce in Buffalo, Pinango should be in the mix to get the call to Toronto in the coming months.
