Washington Agrees With Adam Humphries
4 years agoThe Washington Football Team agreed to terms with free-agent wide receiver Adam Humphries on an undisclosed one-year deal after he visited with the team on Thursday. Humphries, 27, was released by the Tennessee Titans this offseason after posting 23 catches for 228 yards and two touchdowns in seven games last season. He will give the team a veteran slot receiver who worked with new quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick when the two were with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. One team source said Fitzpatrick told coaches that Humphries was one of the best and smartest slot receivers he's played with. Humphries could start in the slot, with Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel on the outside. He will be worth a late-round pick in deeper leagues for receiver depth, but the main takeaway is that Fitzpatrick now has three capable receivers to throw to in this offense.
