Kansas City Chiefs right guard Trey Smith (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of his team's Week 12 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts due to an ankle injury. The 26-year-old entered the week graded by Pro Football Focus as the 11th-best guard in the NFL out of 80 qualified players, so his absence is a significant blow for the Kansas City offense. Without him, Jaylon Moore will likely take over at right guard for the remainder of Week 12. The exact severity of Smith's injury is unclear, but it's not a great sign that he is unable to return against Indianapolis. An extended absence for Smith could be problematic for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the team's skill position players going forward.--Will Brady
