Travis Etienne Jr. To Have Surgery, Done For The 2021 Season
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars first-round running back Travis Etienne (foot) will undergo surgery to fix a significant Lisfranc tear in his foot and will miss the entire 2021 season as a result, according to sources. Etienne suffered the foot injury in the preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. This one really hurts if you already drafted the Clemson product as an RB2 in your fantasy draft. However, those that own James Robinson should be thrilled, as his main competition for touches in the backfield will be veteran Carlos Hyde. Robinson should a safer RB2 option in fantasy drafts with Etienne out of the picture in 2021. Behind Hyde, the Jaguars also have Dare Ogunbowale, Nathan Cottrell and Devine Ozigbo. Etienne is still a very attractive dynasty piece, but you can now cross him off your redraft cheat sheets.
