Tim Anderson Scratched
1 year agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (neck) has been scratched from Tuesday's starting lineup against the Chicago Cubs due to a stiff neck. Elvis Andrus is filling in at shortstop and is batting leadoff against Cubs right-hander Kyle Kendricks, with Zach Remillard playing the keystone and hitting in the nine-hole. Anderson, who has been one of the biggest busts in all of baseball in 2023, should be considered day-to-day. Check back to see if he's available to play on Wednesday. The 30-year-old made the All-Star team in the previous two seasons, but he's been far from an All-Star in 2023, hitting .240/.285/.286 with only one home run, 21 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 38 runs scored in 91 games.
