Taylor Rogers Heading to Cubs
Taylor Rogers from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday. Well, Rogers had a great run in Pittsburgh that lasted basically one day. The veteran left-hander was acquired by Pittsburgh in the Ke'Bryan Hayes trade with the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. A day later, Rogers is headed to the North Side of Chicago in exchange for outfielder Ivan Brethowr. Rogers holds a 2.45 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and a 34/19 K/BB ratio across 40 appearances this season. He figures to pitch in a high-leverage role for Chicago, but is unlikely to have fantasy value due to lack of save chances.
