Steven Kwan Leaves Early on Wednesday With Wrist Inflammation
Steven Kwan (wrist) was removed from Wednesday's series finale early against the Los Angeles Dodgers before the fourth inning due to right-wrist inflammation. Before departing prematurely, Kwan was hitless in his two plate appearances as the leadoff hitter for Cleveland. The 27-year-old was replaced in left field by Nolan Jones. The good news for Kwan is that the Guardians are off on Thursday for a travel day before beginning a three-game series on Friday against the Los Angeles Angels. It's unclear how serious Kwan's injury is, but fantasy managers should check back on Friday for an update on his status. Kwan has very little power but came into Wednesday's game hitting .314 (66-for-210). Jones could see regular playing time going forward with both Kwan and Lane Thomas (foot) injured.
