Saints, Raiders Have Framework For Derek Carr Trade In Place
2 years agoThe New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders already have the framework of a potential trade for quarterback Derek Carr in place, a condition for the Raiders to let the Saints visit with Carr on Wednesday. However, Carr's no-trade clause means that he still controls whether a trade will go down before 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Carr's contract for 2023 will become fully guaranteed three days after the Super Bowl. At this point, New Orleans is the clear favorite to land the 31-year-old signal-caller, who would be a clear upgrade under center over Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston. The Saints wouldn't be a terrible landing spot for Carr for fantasy purposes, although it would be a downgrade in terms of overall offensive weapons from what he had in Vegas in 2023.
