Ryan Yarbrough Placed on 15-Day Injured List
Ryan Yarbrough (oblique) was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right oblique strain. In a corresponding move, the Yankees promoted left-handed pitcher Jayvien Sandridge from Triple-A. Outside of an eight-run outing on June 7, Yarbrough has been an effective spot-starter and long relief option for the Yankees. Across 55 1/3 total innings of work, the southpaw has posted a 3.90 ERA with a strong 1.17 WHIP. During this stretch, Yarbrough has struck out 49 batters and posted an elite 7.5% walk rate. Yarbrough has also generated hard-hits at an impressive 32.2% rate and barrels at a 5.1% rate. While Yarbrough remains out of action, fantasy managers should expect Allan Winans to replace Yarbrough in the rotation on Monday when they begin a series against the Reds.
