Ronnie Stanley Done For The Season
3 years agoBaltimore Ravens Pro Bowl left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle) will undergo season-ending surgery on Tuesday and has been placed on Injured Reserve. The Ravens are hoping he can return fully healthy in 2022. Stanley was injured in the season-opening loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and didn't make it back to the field before getting shut down for the rest of the season. It's a big blow to Baltimore's offensive line and for the protection of quarterback Lamar Jackson the rest of the way. It's the second straight year that Stanley's season has ended prematurely due to an ankle injury. With Stanley injured, the Ravens have moved Alejandro Villanueva to his natural left tackle spot while placing Patrick Mekari at right tackle, and they have both filled in nicely so far.
