Robinson Cano To Resume Baseball Activities Soon
6 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano (quadriceps) is with the team on their road trip and is ready to do baseball activities on the field. He is ahead of both Jeff McNeil (hamstring) and outfielder Brandon Nimmo (neck) in his rehab at this point. It's good news that Cano is making good progress, but his fantasy owners haven't gotten much out of the aging infielder so far in 2019. Cano is batting .241/.287/.371 with only three home runs, 15 runs scored and 13 RBI in 170 at-bats. The absence of power is definitely concerning in his age-36 season. Adeiny Hechavarria has been filling in at the keystone and is worth a short-term look in NL-only affairs.
