Robert Tonyan Officially Done For The Season
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Robert Tonyan (knee) is officially done for the rest of the season after he tore his ACL in the Thursday night win over the Arizona Cardinals, according to his agent, Jack Bechta. Tonyan had three catches on four targets for 49 yards on Thursday before suffering the season-ending knee injury. He'll finish his 2021 campaign with 204 yards and two touchdowns on 18 receptions and 29 targets in eight games (five starts). Veteran Marcedes Lewis nearly had a spectacular touchdown reception on Thursday night, and he and Josiah Deguara figure to split tight end duties the rest of the way with Tonyan sidelined. Neither Lewis nor Deguara will be realistic starting options for fantasy lineups with the Packers likely to get receivers Davante Adams and Allen Lazard back from the COVID-19 list next week.
