Randall Cobb Regaining Connection With Aaron Rodgers
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb had a coming-out party in the Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Entering the game, the veteran slot receiver had just four catches for 58 yards in three games, including no targets in last Sunday night's game. Against Pittsburgh, Cobb had five receptions for 69 yards and two touchdowns. Cobb was given a crash course on the offense by quarterback Aaron Rodgers when the team first traded for him. The two had plenty of experience together from 2011-18, and four of Cobb's five catches on Sunday came on third down. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is now on Injured Reserve, and opponents will likely continue to double-team Davante Adams, which will open up more opportunities for Cobb. It looks like Cobb and Rodgers are rekindling their old connection with Cobb more up to speed on the playbook. Many fantasy managers dropped Cobb after his zero-target Week 3, but it might be time to pick him up already with MVS out for at least three weeks.
