Rams Hire Mike LaFleur As Offensive Coordinator
2 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams hired former New York Jets offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur as their new offensive coordinator on Friday, according to sources. LaFleur was the favorite for the position all along on head coach Sean McVay's coaching staff after he parted ways with the Jets following the 2022 season. He will be replacing Liam Coen, who left the Rams to serve as the University of Kentucky's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. LaFleur, the brother of Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, was with the Jets the last two seasons. Before that, he was the San Francisco 49ers' passing-game coordinator from 2017-20. The Rams offense will be looking to bounce back in 2023 after they suffered injuries to key players such as quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
