Raiders Evaluating Trade Market For Derek Carr
2 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders will begin the process of evaluating the trade market for quarterback Derek Carr as they prepare for a decision on their QB for the future, according to sources. Carr, who holds a no-trade clause, officially bid goodbye to the organization on his official Twitter account on Thursday. There is a firm deadline of Feb. 15, where Carr's $40.4 million in salary over the next two seasons becomes fully guaranteed, so time is of the essence. The Raiders benched Carr for Jarrett Stidham for the final two weeks of the 2022 season, and he will be playing for a new team in 2023 after nine years with the team. Because of the no-trade clause, Carr will have significant say in where he ends up. His 2023 fantasy value will depend on his landing spot.
