3 years agoEven though the New Orleans Saints offense struggled for pretty much the entire first half in the Week 9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Sean Payton said there was never a thought about going from quarterback Trevor Siemian to Taysom Hill before or after Siemian lost a crucial fumble. However, Siemian got the start against the Falcons because Hill was still getting over his concussion during practices last week. But Hill also didn't really quiet any doubters when he took over for an injured Drew Brees last year, and he failed to win the competition with Jameis Winston in training camp. It's notable that after two games, Payton has done nothing but praise Siemian. It remains to be seen who the Saints will choose to go with under center in Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans. Siemian is a better pocket passer, but Hill gives the Saints more upside with his legs.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
