Phillies Settle With Rhys Hoskins Friday
2 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies and first baseman Rhys Hoskins avoided salary arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $12 million deal on Friday, according to sources. In an even more formidable Phillies lineup heading into 2023 with the addition of superstar shortstop Trea Turner, Hoskins will be more attractive in fantasy in the heart of Philly's lineup. The 29-year-old finished up his sixth MLB season in 2022 by hitting .246/.332/.462 with a .794 OPS, 30 home runs, 79 RBI, 81 runs scored and two stolen bases in 672 plate appearances and 156 games. Hoskins has hit 27-plus home runs in four of his six seasons and should be money for fantasy managers again in 2023.
