Panthers Sign Micah Simon After Pro-Day Workout
4 years agoThe Carolina Panthers signed wide receiver Micah Simon, who went undrafted in 2020, to an undisclosed deal after they saw him work out at BYU's Pro Day last week. Simon caught passes from quarterback Zach Wilson and ran a 4.34-second 40-yard dash. He had 1,109 receiving yards in his four-year career at BYU, which included a switch from defensive back to receiver to begin his sophomore season. Simon had his best season in his senior year, catching 51 passes for 616 yards and two touchdowns in 2019. He is listed at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds and will join a group of pass-catchers in Carolina that includes Robby Anderson, D.J. Moore and David Moore, among others. Simon will be battle to make the team's final roster in training camp this summer, but he could very easily wind up on the practice squad.
