The Carolina Panthers fired head coach Matt Rhule, who has gone 11-27 in his three years with the team, on Monday. Rhule will leave Carolina with four years left on a seven-year contract he received from owner David Tepper in January of 2020. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that defensive pass-game coordinator/secondary coach Steve Wilks will become the interim head coach, starting in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams. After the Panthers' 37-15 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, they are now 1-4 on the year. Rhule becomes the first NFL coach to be fired in 2022. Wilks coached the Arizona Cardinals for one season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
