Jack Della Maddalena defeated Belal Muhammad via unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 315 on Saturday. Both men had their moments, but it was Della Maddalena who landed the more punishing shot and did the more damage. In 25 minutes of action, Della Maddalena landed 178 significant strikes. Della Maddalena is now 8-0 In the UFC since debuting on the promotion's Contender Series in 2022. On Saturday, in the main event of UFC 315, Belal Muhammad suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jack Della Maddalena. Muhammad was making his first title defense, but it didn't go as he planned, as Della Maddalena punished Muhammad on the feet for five rounds. In 25 minutes of action, Muhammad landed three takedowns and 132 significant strikes. The defeat snapped Muhammad's six-year unbeaten run. Manon Fiorot suffered a unanimous decision loss to two-time women's flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko in the co-main event of UFC 315. It was a competitive fight that had some close rounds, but in the end, Fiorot just didn't do enough to win. There were some close rounds, but Shevchenko landed the more damaging shots, and even landed a knockdown that won her the fourth round. In 25 minutes of action, Fiorot landed a takedown and 71 significant strikes. Fiorot was unbeaten in her UFC tenure before falling to Shevchenko at UFC 315.--Alen Kurbasic

In Saturday's UFC 315 co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko defended her flyweight title by defeating Manon Fiorot via unanimous decision. There were some close rounds, but Shevchenko was just too much for Fiorot over five rounds as the flyweight champion secured the win with all three judges giving her the nod with 48-47 scorecards. Ultimately, the judges unanimously sided with Shevchenko to retain her title. In 25 minutes of action, Shevchenko landed two takedowns and 72 significant strikes. The victory marks her tenth win in a UFC title fight and first successful title defense of the current UFC Women's Flyweight Championship belt. Former two-time featherweight champion Jose Aldo suffered a unanimous decision loss to Aiemann Zahabi on the main card of UFC 315 on Saturday. The fight saw Aldo being better in the first half of the fight but faltering in the latter stages, ultimately resulting in a controversial unanimous decision defeat. He was even close to a finish in the third round, but Zahabi managed to survive. After suffering a decision loss to Zahabi, Aldo announced that he's going to retire. Aiemann Zahabi extended his win streak to six when he defeated the former two-time featherweight champion Jose Aldo on the main card of UFC 315 on Saturday. It was an extremely close fight, and Zahabi was almost knocked out in the final round, but in the end, all three officials gave Zahabi the fight with 29-28 scorecards across the board. Former women's flyweight champion Alexa Grasso suffered a unanimous-decision loss to Natalia Silva on Saturday's main card of UFC 315. Grasso just couldn't get any real offense going, so she was dominated throughout the 15-minute fight. Before this setback, Grasso lost her flyweight title to Valentina Shevchenko in their trilogy bout at UFC 306 in September. In 15 minutes of action, Grasso landed 45 significant strikes. Natalia Silva extended her win streak when she defeated former women's flyweight champion Alexa Grasso on the main card of UFC 315 on Saturday. Silva outclassed Grasso, winning all three rounds on the judges' scorecards, extending her win streak to 13. In 15 minutes of action, Silva landed 65 significant strikes. Kyle Prepolec suffered a second-round submission loss to Benoit Saint-Denis in the UFC 315 main card opener on Saturday. There was not much Prepolec could do as he was dominated from the opening bell to the point where Saint-Denis landed a nasty arm triangle choke to finish the fight. In 7:35 of action, Prepolec landed 12 significant strikes, compared to Saint-Denis, who landed 54. Prepolec is still winless in the UFC, going 0-3. Benoit Saint-Denis got back in the win column after he defeated Kyle Prepolec via second-round submission in the UFC 315 main card opener on Saturday. Saint-Denis dominated Prepolec from the opening bell and eventually overwhelmed Prepolec in the second round before securing an arm triangle choke to finish the fight. In 7:35 of action, Saint-Denis landed three takedowns and 54 significant strikes.
