Bills Place Darrynton Evans on Injured Reserve
Darrynton Evans (hamstring) on Injured Reserve and also waived cornerback Te'Cory Couch and wide receiver Kaden Prather. In corresponding moves, they signed running back Jarveon Howard and wide receiver Grant DuBose. Evans will miss the entire 2025 season after he injured his hamstring during training camp practice last week. The 27-year-old was hoping to make the Bills' 53-man roster this summer as depth in the RB room after he played in only five games with the Chicago Bears last year, carrying the ball three times for three yards. The former third-round pick (93rd overall) by the Tennessee Titans in 2020 out of Appalachian State has only 65 career carries for 249 yards and one touchdown in 24 games (no starts) over his five NFL seasons.Source: Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills announced on Tuesday that they placed running back Nate Sudfeld Signs with the 49ers
Nate Sudfeld to a one-year deal, with the terms of the deal undisclosed. Sudfeld was originally a 6th-round draft pick of the Washington Commanders in 2016 and has seen stops with the Eagles, 49ers, and Lions. Sudfeld was with the 49ers in 2021 when he beat out Brock Purdy for the No. 3 quarterback spot, but he has yet to start a game in his seven-year NFL career. His last appearance in a game was in 2022 with Detroit. With the 49ers moving running back Patrick Taylor Jr. to season-ending IR on Wednesday, they had a roster spot to fill, but Sudfeld sits fifth on the team's quarterback depth chart and is unlikely to make the team's 53-man roster.Source: Adam Schefter

Cameron Heyward Returns to Practice
Source: Brooke Pryor
Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cameron Heyward was in uniform and participating in Tuesday's practice, despite an ongoing contract dispute. The 36-year-old All-Pro began training camp by holding in, but he has attended the team's last four practices in street clothes before donning the uniform on Tuesday. Heyward has been vocal about looking to restructure the extension that he signed last season, which carries an average annual value of $14.5 million. While there is no indication that any renegotiation is in the works, having him back on the field is a positive sign for his availability. In most IDP formats, Heyward offers a safe floor as a DL4 with a history of providing occasional weekly spikes with his 88.5 career sacks. With Heyward potentially back in the lineup and a soft opening schedule, the Steelers DST once again looks like one to target at the end of drafts.Patrick Taylor Jr. Placed on Season-Ending Injured Reserve

Brian Robinson Jr. Not Expected to Play for Commanders This Year
Brian Robinson Jr. growing louder by the day, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport believes the fourth-year back has played his last down with Washington. Robinson was not with the team for their Monday night preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and it was Chris Rodriguez Jr. and preseason darling Jacory Croskey-Merritt who handled Robinson's usual early-down work. Rapoport believes the team may be willing to eat a portion of Robinson's remaining salary to facilitate a deal. Should Robinson play elsewhere in 2025, Rodriguez and Croskey-Merritt will likely continue to split early down carries to start the year. Still, Croskey-Merritt's explosiveness makes him the obvious upside play and a good bet to seize the job outright. Forgotten in all of this, veteran Austin Ekeler should maintain his passing-down work, a role he quietly thrived in last year before a concussion cut his season short.Source: Ian Rapoport
With trade talks surrounding Washington Commanders running back Jameis Winston Not Available for Trade
Jameis Winston trade during a Tuesday press conference. "I appreciate people that are interested, but Jameis is a New York Giant," Brown told reporters after being asked if the team was taking calls about their veteran backup quarterback. The recent preseason performance of rookie Jaxson Dart, whom the team traded up to draft in the first round, had some wondering if he'd shown enough to supplant Winston for the No. 2 job heading into the season. With the Giants also adding Russell Wilson through free agency to be their starter, the depth chart appears all but settled with one preseason game left to be played, and the team seems comfortable allowing Dart to develop behind the scenes for now.Source: Mike Garafolo
New York Giants assistant general manager Brandon Brown put to rest any rumors of a Minnesota Vikings Exploring Trade Market for Wide Receiver Help
Justin Jefferson (hamstring) returned to practice on Monday, the team has already lost Rondale Moore (knee) to a season-ending knee injury sustained in the team's first preseason game. Jalen Nailor is now week-to-week with a hand injury, and Jordan Addison is suspended for the first three weeks of the season, stemming from a wet reckless driving incident in 2023. With roster crunches taking place across the league, the Vikings are reportedly exploring the trade market aggressively. Regardless of who takes the field with him, Jefferson should still be considered a locked-in WR1 and one of the safest picks in all of fantasy.Source: Tom Pelissero
With the deadline for all teams to cut rosters down to 53 players less than a week away, the Minnesota Vikings could be looking to add a veteran presence to their wide receiver room. While All-Pro receiver Rashee Rice Could be Facing 4-6 Game Suspension?
Rashee Rice will be given a four to six-game suspension for his role in a multi-vehicle collision in March 2024. Schefter added that the NFL has pushed for an eight-game suspension, contrary to previous reports that they have asked for 10 games. Rice has reportedly requested four games, and Schefter believes they will meet somewhere in the middle. Rice pleaded guilty to two third-degree felony charges in July, and his disciplinary hearing with the league is scheduled for September 30. There is still a possibility that an agreement can be reached before the Chiefs' season-opener on September 5. The dates of Rice's suspension may have just as much impact on fantasy drafts as the number of games. Fantasy managers will have to continue to wait until an official suspension by the NFL is handed down, but can expect Rice to miss a few games.Source: Adam Schefter
On his Tuesday podcast episode, Adam Schefter of ESPN shared that he believes Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dominick Puni Questionable to Play in Week 1
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that right guard Dominick Puni (knee) is "iffy" for Week 1 with a knee sprain, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Seventh-round rookie Connor Colby could be in line to take Puni's place in the starting lineup if Puni misses time. A third-round pick in the 2024 draft, Puni started all 17 games for San Francisco as a rookie and was one of the bright spots in an otherwise down season for the team. Pro Football Focus graded Puni as the ninth-best run-blocking guard in the NFL last season, so his absence could affect the outlook for 49ers running backAndrew Thomas Activated Off PUP List
Source: Newsday Sports - Evan Barnes
New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas (foot) was activated off the physically unable to perform list and returned to practice in a limited capacity on Tuesday, according to Evan Barnes of Newsday Sports. Thomas had previously been unable to participate in training camp while recovering from the foot surgery he underwent last October. The 26-year-old is one of the game's better left tackles when he's healthy, but injuries have limited him to just 16 games over the last two seasons. Thomas still has work to do to be ready for the start of the regular season, but recent reporting indicates that the team is optimistic about his chances to play in Week 1 against the Washington Commanders.Daniel Jones, Anthony Richardson Sr. Will Not Play in Colts Final Preseason Game
Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson Sr. will not play in the team's final preseason game on Saturday against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to Jake Arthur of Sports Illustrated. Riley Leonard and Jason Bean will be the team's signal-callers in the preseason finale. Jones was named Indianapolis' Week 1 starter on Tuesday, but it's clear that the team is still prioritizing Richardson Sr.'s health by holding him out of exhibition action. The third-year quarterback has missed a significant amount of time due to injuries so far in his career, and has already suffered both shoulder and finger injuries since the start of the OTAs in 2025.Source: Sports Illustrated - Jake Arthur
Indianapolis Colts quarterbacks Nick Bosa Returns to Practice in Limited Capacity
Source: ESPN - Nick Wagoner
San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa (neck) returned to certain portions of practice on Tuesday but was held out of team drills, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner. Bosa has been battling neck soreness, but it appears he's nearing a full return with plenty of time before the regular season gets underway. The 27-year-old is coming off a down year by his standards, recording his fewest sacks (nine), solo tackles (33), and QB hits (24) since his rookie season. Bosa is just a few seasons removed from winning Defensive Player of the Year, so he still has the potential to be a game-wrecking edge rusher and a fantasy asset in IDP leagues.Titans Will Play Starters in Preseason Finale
