The Green Bay Packers have officially picked up defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt's fifth-year option ahead of the May 1 deadline, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Wyatt was the No. 28 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Georgia and has tallied 74 tackles (43 solo), 12 sacks, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and 12 run stuffs in 47 career games. The 300-pounder has pass-rush skills from the interior that are valuable to any defense. He is now locked in with the organization through the 2026 campaign and will earn $12.9 million guaranteed on the final year of his rookie deal.

The Pittsburgh Steelers released defensive lineman Montravius Adams on Wednesday, the team announced on X. Adams spent the last four seasons with the Steelers following one season with the New Orleans Saints and four seasons with the Green Bay Packers. The former third-round pick out of Auburn in 2017 saw his playing time dramatical dip in 2024, recording zero starts after making 17 starts in the two seasons prior. Overall, the veteran has tallied 123 tackles (61 solo), 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, seven pass deflections, and 14.5 run stuffs in 96 career games. While he's unlikely to be a clear-cut starter moving forward, there are plenty of teams lacking interior defensive line depth that could be interested in his services.

The Philadelphia Eagles exercised the fifth-year option on defensive tackle
Jordan Davis, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. Davis, the former No. 13 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Georgia, has tallied 90 tackles (41 solo), 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, four pass deflections, and 13 run stuffs in 47 career games. His counting stats don't do his play justice as an interior run-clogger, but he's an important piece on the dominant Philly defensive front, so this move comes as no surprise. This will keep Davis with the organization through the 2026 campaign, barring a trade or unexpected situation.

The Baltimore Ravens announced on Wednesday that they are exercising the fifth-year option for the 2026 season on safety Kyle Hamilton, according to general manager Eric DeCosta. The GM also said that the team is open to working out a long-term contract extension with Hamilton. It's no surprise for Hamilton, who has been a Pro Bowler each of the last two years and a first-team All-Pro in 2023. The 24-year-old defensive back had a career-high 107 tackles (77 solo), two sacks, six QB hits, one interception, nine pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 17 regular-season starts last year. Hamilton's numbers last year were good enough to make him a top-10 defensive back in IDP fantasy formats. He had double-digit tackles in five regular-season games and played every snap in nine contests. Hamilton will be a must-start defensive back in IDP lineups again in 2025.

The Minnesota Vikings reached an agreement on Tuesday with linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel on a one-year, $23 million contract extension that includes $22.4 million guaranteed, according to his agents Drew and Jason Rosenhaus. The Vikings liked what they saw from Van Ginkel in his first year in Minnesota in 2024, when he totaled a career-high 79 tackles (50 solo), a career-high 11.5 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, 19 QB hits, two interceptions returned for touchdowns, six pass breakups and one forced fumble in 17 regular-season starts for his first Pro Bowl selection. Fantasy managers in IDP formats may want to temper expectations going into 2025 because of the fact that he hadn't produced more than six sacks in a single season in his first five years in the NFL. Still, the 29-year-old has big-play ability at the linebacker position.

Denver Broncos linebacker Dre Greenlaw (quadriceps) is expected to miss "a little bit of time" during offseason drills after straining a quadriceps muscle while working out, a source told The Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson. Greenlaw has no surgery planned and is expected to be ready for the start of training camp at the end of July, without question. After playing his first six seasons in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers, Greenlaw joined the Broncos this offseason. He tore his Achilles in the Super Bowl in 2024 and didn't return until this past September before missing the final two games with a calf injury. The 27-year-old former fifth-rounder (148th overall) in 2019 out of Arkansas. He had two straight 100-plus-tackle seasons in 2022 and 2023, and if he can bounce back to that form after his injuries, the Broncos already strong defense will have a steal on their hands.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Cincinnati Bengals are picking up the fifth-year option on defensive back Dax Hill. This locks Hill into a projected $12.7 million salary for 2026. The former first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Michigan has played in 37 games (24 starts) for the Bengals, compiling 151 tackles (103 solo), two interceptions, 13 pass deflections, 2.5 sacks, and seven tackles for loss. Despite Hill suffering a torn ACL in Week 5 of the 2024 campaign, the organization is clearly optimistic about his recovery and potential in the future.

The Green Bay Packers and cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee) continue to talk about a possible resolution this offseason, which could include a reconciliation to where Alexander plays for the Packers again in 2025, a source tells ESPN's Rob Demovsky. All options remain on the table, including a release, trade or re-signing. Despite the fact that the 28-year-old defensive back could still be released, Alexander took part in the team's virtual offseason program last week, potentially signaling that he's leaning toward returning. The two-time Pro Bowler has played in only 14 regular-season games the last two years due to injuries and missed the final eight games in 2024 due to a knee injury that required surgery in December. The Packers could use the former first-rounder (18th overall) back, but he's unlikely to return to his Pro Bowl form given all of his recent injuries.

The Kansas City Chiefs plan to pick up the fifth-year option of cornerback Trent McDuffie and pass-rusher George Karlaftis for the 2026 season, a source tells ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. McDuffie, who was the 21st overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft out of Washington, was a first-time All-Pro in his second year in 2023 and had 59 tackles (45 solo), half a sack, six tackles for loss, his first two career interceptions, 13 pass breakups and a forced fumble in 16 regular-season starts for the Chiefs in 2024. The 24-year-old has started all 43 games that he's appeared in since entering the league in 2022 and will continue to be a staple for KC's secondary. Karlaftis, the 30th overall pick in 2022 out of Purdue, has 24.5 sacks in his three seasons, with his best year coming in 2023, when he had 10.5 sacks in 16 starts. The 24-year-old added four sacks in the team's three playoff games this past season.

Former Miami Dolphins free-agent defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah signed a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Ogbah, a former second-rounder (32nd overall) by the Cleveland Browns in 2016 out of Oklahoma State, will head to the AFC South after spending the last five seasons with the Dolphins. The 31-year-old veteran pass-rusher figures to be a rotational edge rusher for Jacksonville in 2025 behind Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker. Ogbah had 49 tackles (27 solo), five sacks, nine tackles for loss, 11 QB hits, one interception and a forced fumble in 16 starts for Miami last year. He has 47.5 sacks in his nine-year NFL career, but Ogbah has never reached double-digit sacks in a single season and hasn't had more than 5.5 sacks since 2021.

The Detroit Lions have acquired the 57th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft from the Denver Broncos. In full, the Lions received picks No. 57 and 230 while the Broncos received picks No. 60 and 130. Denver has been busy on Day 2 of the draft, as they originally moved down from No. 51 to No. 57 through a trade with the Carolina Panthers. Now, they're moving down once again. They'll drop three picks in the second round, but they also move up 100 slots from the seventh round to the fourth round. So far, Denver has made just one selection — cornerback Jahdae Barron — in the first round, but they have also picked up plenty of mid-to-late-round picks. Notably, the Broncos have been very vocal about their plans to draft a running back, so perhaps that selection will come soon. In the meantime, the Lions will make their second pick of the draft a little sooner than originally expected. Their first-round pick on Thursday was defensive tackle Tyleik Williams.

The Carolina Panthers have acquired the 51st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft from the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN's Field Yates. In full, eight picks are being swapped to complete this trade. Carolina acquired the 51st, 84th, 122nd, and 208th overall picks. Meanwhile, the Broncos received the 57th, 74th, 111th, and 230th selections. Carolina didn't possess its own second-round pick, so this will be their first selection of Day 2. The Arizona Cardinals have selected Michigan defensive back Will Johnson with the 47th overall pick during Friday's draft. Wow, well this could end up being a steal for the Cardinals as Johnson fell in the draft likely due to injury concerns. Johnson was viewed as a Day 1 prospect, but being limited to seven games last season probably hurt his draft stock. When healthy, Johnson has proven to be an elite zone coverage defensive back with good size and length. He finished his college career with 57 tackles, nine interceptions, and three returned touchdowns. Johnson should be a Day 1 starter and an immediate impact player on defense in Arizona.

The Buffalo Bills have traded up to the 41st overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. In full, Buffalo acquired the 41st, 72nd, and 240th picks from the Chicago Bears in exchange for the 56th, 62nd, and 109th picks. The Bills drafted cornerback Maxwell Hairston with their own pick in the first round Thursday, and now they're making an aggressive trade to move up in the second round. The Seattle Seahawks have selected South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori with the 35th pick in the NFL Draft. This pick originally belonged to the Tennessee Titans but was flipped to Seattle in a trade while Tennessee was on the clock Friday night. In exchange for the 35th pick, Seattle sent the 52nd and 82nd picks back to the Titans. Emmanwori totaled 88 tackles (including three tackles for loss) and four interceptions through 13 games during his final collegiate season. He is a physical playmaker known for his skillful tackling and ability to disrupt plays. His good downfield speed makes him a candidate to start immediately on defense.
