Brock Bowers Officially Inactive for Week 5
Brock Bowers (knee) is officially inactive for Sunday's Week 5 contest against the Indianapolis Colts. The star tight end had been listed as questionable, and while head coach Pete Carroll previously expressed optimism about Bowers' status, his knee has not responded well, and he won't be able to suit up this weekend. Bowers is dealing with a PCL injury and a bone bruise, both of which were suffered back in Week 1. He has played through the injury since then, but this week, he was advised to rest until he has recovered. Fantasy managers should look outside Las Vegas for a Week 5 streamer as Bowers' usual replacement, Michael Mayer (concussion), is also inactive. The Raiders will turn to Ian Thomas as their primary tight end this week, but he's not a dependable fantasy option.
