The Baltimore Ravens used a sixth-round pick to take kicker
Tyler Loop out of Arizona in this year's NFL draft to replace long-time standout
Justin Tucker, who was released this offseason. Loop is the favorite to succeed Tucker, but The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec thinks the Ravens could be headed for their first training camp kicking competition since Tucker beat out Billy Cundiff in 2012.
John Hoyland, an undrafted rookie out of Wyoming, has been good enough to suggest that he could push Loop for the starting gig in training camp and the preseason this fall. The 23-year-old Loop impressed the coaching staff during offseason workouts after making 83.6% of his field goals in his four seasons with the Wildcats in college. Loop could be a bit inconsistent in his rookie season if he wins the job, but given the offense he's in, he could be fantasy relevant immediately.

Russell Wilson said that he signed with the team this offseason because of second-year wide receiver
Malik Nabers. "I came here because of him. I really wanted to play with someone who is special like him," Wilson said. Nabers led the Giants in receiving in 2024 in his first year in the league with 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns on 109 catches (170 targets) despite subpar quarterback play and two missed games due to a concussion. Daniel Jones was cut, he does excel on the deep ball and should target Nabers heavily through the air. Nabers proved last year he is a clear WR1 in fantasy, regardless of who is throwing him passes. The LSU product and former first-rounder has the ability to take over any game.

The Athletic's James Boyd writes that Indianapolis Colts quarterback
Daniel Jones is the QB1 for now heading into training camp after Anthony Richardson (shoulder) aggravated his surgically-repaired right shoulder in OTAs and then missed minicamp. Jones has already taken a significant lead in what was supposed to be a wide-open QB competition. There is no timetable for Richardson's return to on-field activities, but he says that he'll be ready for the start of training camp at the end of July. Not only is Richardson going to need to stay healthy all summer, but he's probably going to need to outplay Jones in order to win the starting gig going into Week 1 in September. Nothing is finalized yet, but Jones' fantasy stock as a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues is rising with Richardson continuing to be set back by injuries.

Anthony Richardson Sr. (shoulder) said that he will be ready for training camp in late July after missing mandatory minicamp with a right-shoulder injury. "I'm all good ... not really even a bump in the road. I feel like I tripped, I fell. Just got back up and hit the ground running again," Richardson said. The former first-rounder aggravated his AC joint, which he injured as a rookie in 2023 and needed surgery on, during OTAs this spring. Head coach Shane Steichen said he didn't put a timeline on Richardson's recovery earlier this month, but all signs are pointing to him being ready for the start of training camp. Daniel Jones in the lead in the QB competition going into the 2025 season. Richardson has a lot of ground to make up and continues to lose fantasy value after being hyped as a QB1 last fall.

Jacksonville Jaguars two-way star
Travis Hunter signed his four-year, $46.65 million contract on Sunday. The deal also includes a hefty $30.57 million signing bonus. The 2025 No. 2 overall pick had plenty of hype entering the NFL Draft after a successful tenure at the collegiate level. However, despite high expectations, it may take Hunter some time to get acclimated to how things operate under new head coach Liam Coen. As a result, he may spend more time on the defensive side of the ball throughout his rookie year. While that doesn't necessarily mean Hunter won't get work on the offensive end, it could take him longer than anticipated before he becomes a trustworthy fantasy performer. That should lower his redraft value heading into the 2025-26 campaign. On the other hand, Hunter is worth drafting early in rookie drafts, at least by the fantasy managers willing to be patient.

Kyler Murray noted in an interview with ESPN that he wants the team to improve this season in situations when the original play call breaks down. Per the team, the New Orleans Saints have signed free agent offensive lineman Barry Wesley and defensive back Jayden Price to one-year contracts. The Saints waived cornerback Travion Fluellen and running back
Xazavian Valladay in corresponding moves. Price was a first-year player out of North Dakota State in 2024 and signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent. He also spent time with the Arlington Renegades of the United Football League this past spring. Wesley joined Atlanta last season, too, but by way of the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL following the 2023 season. He recently started nine of 11 games with the UFL's Birmingham Stallions. Both athletes will vie for roster spots come the regular season.

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reports that former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver
Antonio Brown has fled the United States while evading a warrant for an attempted murder charge. The incident stems from a shooting outside a celebrity boxing event in Miami on May 16, in which he claimed he was the victim of an assault. However, it's alleged that Brown "punched a man during a brawl, then grabbed a firearm from a security officer and fired two shots as he chased the same individual." Anything the former wideout says at this point must be taken with a grain of salt. However, if he's being truthful, the warrant for his arrest won't be resolved anytime soon.

The Kansas City Chiefs signed free-agent tight end
Geor'quarius Spivey to an undisclosed deal earlier this week and cut tight end
Tre' McKitty in a corresponding move, according to KPRC 2 Sports' Aaron Wilson. Spivey will return to the Chiefs after spending time with them during training camp last summer, but he failed to make the 53-man roster going into the regular season. The same could easily happen to Spivey again in 2025 after playing in the UFL. He caught one pass for seven yards in the preseason with KC in 2024 and then went on to catch seven passes for 65 yards with the Houston Roughnecks in the UFL. In addition to Spivey, the Chiefs signed center Joey Lombard after they tried out for the team during mandatory minicamp.

Will Levis. Ridley has a safe floor as a WR3/flex, but how successful he is in 2025 will ultimately come down to how consistent Ward can be in his rookie season.

Cam Ward among the players that impressed during offseason workouts. Wyatt said he has liked everything he's seen from the first overall pick, from his play to his maturity to his leadership. Things haven't been perfect for Ward early on, but he has been consistently good and looks to be on track to start for the Titans under center in Week 1 this fall. The 23-year-old has good arm strength and plenty of experience. However, despite having mobility, he's not seen as much of a runner at the position, which will limit his true fantasy ceiling. Ward has a legitimate No. 1 receiver in
Calvin Ridley, but there's not a ton else to work with outside of him. For now, Ward is a much more attractive dynasty/keeper target than he is a redraft one, even in two-QB leagues.

ESPN's Adam Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday that Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey "would like to go to the West Coast, to Los Angeles -- Rams, Chargers, somewhere like that." The Dolphins have been looking to trade Ramsey since early April due to a relationship that has deteriorated, but nothing has come to fruition yet. The 30-year-old seven-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro and the Rams have mutual interest in a reunion; Ramsey played in L.A. from 2019-2022 before joining Miami the last two years. He's scheduled to make a fully guaranteed $24.235 million in 2025, and it seems likely the Dolphins will have to eat some of that money to facilitate a trade. A Ramsey trade should happen before training camp starts in roughly a month. Despite being 30, Ramsey is still playing at a high level and would be a big upgrade to a secondary wherever he lands.

Malik Nabers (toe) this offseason, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. Nabers missed organized team activities and mandatory minicamp with a toe injury that has bothered him since college, but the Giants have no concerns and he's expected to be ready for the start of training camp in late July. The 21-year-old former first-rounder didn't miss a single game in his rookie campaign in 2024 due to his toe ailment and finished as the WR7 in half-PPR scoring with 109 receptions on 170 targets for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games played. Those numbers are impressive on their own before considering the shaky QB play Nabers dealt with.
Russell Wilson may not be much better in 2025, but Nabers should once again be heavily targeted and should be a safe WR1 target for fantasy managers entering his second year.
