Figueiredo had problems with closing the distance and with Sandhagen's reach. After a competitive first round, de Ridder started pressuring Nickal in the second round, pushing him to the fence and punishing him with punches and knees to the body. After landing a barrage of punches on Nickal, de Ridder landed a devastating knee to the body that folded Nickal, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
