Greg Dulcich Finds the End Zone on Saturday
Greg Dulcich had one catch (one target) for a 20-yard touchdown in Saturday's win over the New York Jets. As a rookie, he had 33 catches for 411 yards and two touchdowns while with the Denver Broncos in 2022. However, Dulcich hasn't done much ever since while battling injuries along the way. He's managed to remain with the Giants since the club picked him up off waivers in November 2024. Still, Dulcich isn't a lock to remain on the roster heading into the Week 1 opener versus the Washington Commanders. That could stay the case even if he plays well in the preseason finale versus the New England Patriots on Thursday night, especially since New York has Theo Johnson and Daniel Bellinger on the roster.Source: ESPN

Cody Schrader Carves Out Large Role Against Bolts
Cody Schrader rushed for 48 yards on 13 carries during Saturday's preseason win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He also caught two of his three targets for an additional 24 receiving yards. Through two preseason games, Schrader has a total of 140 yards. The Missouri product entered this preseason on the outside looking in. He still faces an uphill battle to make the team, as Kyren Williams, Jarquez Hunter, and Blake Corum are essentially roster locks. However, if Los Angeles opts to carry four running backs, Schrader has made a case for himself over Ronnie Rivers. Regardless of Los Angeles' final roster decisions, Schrader will be several rungs away from an impactful role. He should be left on waivers in all fantasy leagues.Source: NFL.com
Los Angeles Rams running back Jarquez Hunter Registers 15 Carries Against Chargers
Jarquez Hunter carried the ball 15 times for 55 yards during Saturday's preseason win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He also converted his lone target into a two-yard reception. A rookie fourth-round pick out of Auburn, Hunter is the early favorite to win the No. 2 running back job behind incumbent starter Kyren Williams. He has led the backfield in carries in both of the Rams' preseason carries so far, averaging 3.7 yards per rush attempt. Williams should handle the every-down role once again this year, but Hunter represents a very intriguing handcuff option. RotoBaller's NFL experts currently have Hunter ranked as the overall RB61, while teammate Blake Corum ranks as the overall RB59.Source: NFL.com
Los Angeles Rams running back Brennan Presley Eclipses 100-Yard Mark in Preseason Victory
Brennan Presley caught six of his eight targets for 102 yards during Saturday's preseason win over the Los Angeles Chargers. An undrafted free agent from Oklahoma State, Presley impressed with several big plays, including a contested catch and a nice catch-and-run. Although he entered the preseason with a slim chance to make the team, he has capitalized on every opportunity thrown his way. Through two games, he now has eight receptions, 113 yards, and two touchdowns. Presley is likely competing with Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith, Mario Williams, and Tru Edwards for two or three roster spots at the bottom of the depth chart.Source: NFL.com
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Justin Herbert Has Quiet Outing in Preseason Debut
Justin Herbert played only the first series in the team's 23-22 last-second preseason loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The 27-year-old completed just two of five attempts for 46 yards and took one sack in his brief outing. Now entering his fifth season, Herbert should have a more improved offense this season with the return of second-year receiver Ladd McConkey, rookie Omarion Hampton set for a bigger role, and veteran Charger WR Keenan Allen back on the team. Herbert passed for 3,870 yards and 23 touchdowns with only three interceptions in 2024, adding 306 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. RotoBaller still has Herbert projected as QB16 this season.Source: NFL
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Stetson Bennett IV Extremely Productive in Second Preseason Game
Stetson Bennett IV completed 28 of his 40 pass attempts for 324 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception during Saturday's preseason win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He also took a sack and rushed for four yards. Bennett led four successful scoring drives, including a game-winning touchdown drive that put the Rams ahead with just 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter. He has played the entirety of the Rams' first two preseason games, totaling five touchdowns and just one interception. He has a firm grasp on the third-string quarterback role behind Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Garoppolo, and given that both of those players are older veterans who could be near the ends of their careers, Bennett's strong preseason could bode well as he auditions for a larger role in the future.Source: NFL.com

Kaleb Johnson Rushes For 50 Yards Against Tampa Bay
Kaleb Johnson handled 11 carries for 50 rushing yards and hauled in his only target for nine yards in a 17-14 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Johnson once again struggled to find much room in the early going, but he managed to get loose a few times in the second and third quarters, including on a 14-yard scamper that marked the longest gain of his young NFL career. Although veteran halfback Jaylen Warren is primed to begin the campaign as the team's primary ballcarrier, Johnson, a third-round selection in April's draft, should mix in regularly and see an expanded role as the season progresses. His final audition before Week 1 will come against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday.Source: ESPN

Ryan Flournoy Commands Three Targets in Saturday's Loss
Ryan Flournoy converted three targets into two receptions for 27 yards during Saturday's preseason loss to the Baltimore Ravens. One of the older rookies in the NFL last year, Flournoy was a 2024 sixth-round pick who caught 10 passes for 102 yards in his first pro campaign. He's trending toward making the team, but his roster spot is not yet guaranteed. The 25-year-old must continue to impress as training camp and the preseason wrap up. Jalen Brooks, KaVontae Turpin, and Traeshon Holden are some of the receivers near the bottom of the depth chart with whom Flournoy is competing for a roster spot.Source: NFL.com
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Tyrone Tracy Jr. Leads the Way on Saturday
Tyrone Tracy Jr. had 39 yards off seven touches in Saturday's win over the Jets. The 25-year-old had a chance to find the end zone in the first quarter. Unfortunately, after an unsuccessful attempt, Devin Singletary entered the contest and scored a touchdown off a one-yard run. Tracy finished his rookie season by amassing 839 yards off 192 carries while totaling six touchdowns. With Cam Skattebo (hamstring) still having trouble getting on the field, Tracy shouldn't have any issues getting the most touches, at least early in the 2025 campaign, giving him plenty of upside for fantasy managers. However, his lack of consistent involvement as a pass-catcher will limit his ceiling for PPR participants. Skattebo's power could also take away some of Tracy's red zone opportunities, especially near the goal line. The Giants will close out the preseason with a meeting with the New England Patriots on Thursday night.Source: ESPN
New York Giants running back Miles Sanders Inefficient Against Baltimore Saturday
Miles Sanders rushed for 15 yards on seven attempts during Saturday's preseason loss against the Baltimore Ravens. He was not targeted in the passing game. The veteran earned snaps in both the first and second quarters, but he was largely inefficient. Only two of his rushes went for more than three yards, and he averaged just 2.1 yards per carry. This is a concerning sign as the Cowboys continue to evaluate their running back room prior to officially naming a starter. Sanders is competing with veteran Javonte Williams, the early favorite for the lead-back role after not playing Saturday, and rookie Jaydon Blue (heel), who is dealing with an injury. Sanders is nothing more than a late-round dart throw who can be dropped if he doesn't produce in Week 1.Source: NFL.com
Dallas Cowboys running back Roman Wilson Impresses In Preseason Loss
Roman Wilson finished with two receptions for 72 yards on four targets in a 17-14 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The second-year pro did all of his damage in the contest's opening quarter. He ran past multiple defenders to secure a 42-yard deep ball from Mason Rudolph and later found space on a crossing route to gain 30 yards on a pass from Skylar Thompson. After a rookie season plagued by injuries, Wilson has shown promise heading into the 2025-2026 campaign. With teammate Calvin Austin III (abdomen) currently injured, Wilson has a clear path to earning the WR2 role behind D.K. Metcalf. The 24-year-old will look to build on this strong performance in Pittsburgh's final exhibition game against the Carolina Panthers.Source: ESPN
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Jonathan Mingo Catches Big Pass Against Baltimore
Jonathan Mingo (knee) was targeted four times during Saturday's preseason contest against the Baltimore Ravens, but he caught just one pass for 49 yards. All four of Mingo's targets came from Milton, suggesting that the young receiver has a role with the second-team offense. Milton enjoyed targeting Mingo deep downfield, as evidenced by his 49-yard reception. Milton also took a deep shot downfield to the receiver, but it was intercepted in the end zone. Mingo, 24, played in 17 games last season, splitting time with the Panthers and Cowboys. Through eight games with Dallas, he caught just five passes for 46 yards. He's slated to occupy a similar low-volume role once again this year, as he remains buried on the depth chart behind players like CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Jalen Tolbert. UPDATE: Mingo was ruled out after catching his 49-yard pass and was flexing his right knee.Source: NFL.com
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Joe Milton III Struggles in Preseason Loss
Joe Milton III completed just nine of his 18 pass attempts for 122 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception during Saturday's preseason loss against the Baltimore Ravens. He also took two sacks, including one for a safety. Milton continued to show some mobility and arm strength, but for the most part, he struggled against a solid Ravens defense. Specifically, his interception came on an ill-advised deep pass attempt to the end zone, where he overthrew his receiver and dropped the ball right into the hands of a lurking safety. Milton should still win the backup quarterback job over Will Grier, but he'd be tough to trust in fantasy football if Dak Prescott were to miss time.Source: NFL.com
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Jon Gray to Stay With Rangers After Going Unclaimed on Waivers
Jon Gray will remain with the team after going unclaimed on waivers, Shawn McFarland of the Dallas Morning News reports. Gray has about $3 million in salary left on his four-year, $56 million contract, but no team wanted to take a chance on him at that price tag. That isn't surprising, as the 33-year-old has posted dismal results since he made his season debut on July 23. After missing the first three-plus months of the year with a fractured forearm, the longtime starter has made six appearances out of the bullpen and recorded a 7.71 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP, 12 strikeouts, and six walks in 14 innings. Gray pitched in the Rangers' 14-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday and struggled again, giving up four earned runs on four hits, including two homers, with three strikeouts against three walks over 2 1/3 frames.Source: Shawn McFarland - Dallas Morning News
Texas Rangers right-hander Mason Rudolph Has Up-And-Down Showing Against Buccaneers
Mason Rudolph completed three of his five pass attempts for 46 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a 17-14 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also added seven rushing yards on one carry. Rudolph began his second straight exhibition start on a sour note when an underthrown pass to receiver Roman Wilson was picked off on Pittsburgh's opening drive. He bounced back later in the first quarter, connecting with Wilson on a perfect 42-yard strike over the middle of the field. Just three plays later, Rudolph hit wideout Brandon Johnson in the end zone from two yards out. The 30-year-old appears locked in as the Steelers' QB2 behind Aaron Rodgers, while rookie Will Howard (finger) continues to recover from a broken finger sustained earlier this month. The Carolina Panthers are on tap for Rudolph's final audition before the regular season.Source: ESPN
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson Throws a Pick in Win Over Jets
Russell Wilson threw for 108 yards and an interception off 4-for-7 passing in Saturday's victory over the Jets. The veteran signal-caller hasn't done much in the Giants' first two preseason contests. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart put together an impressive showing on Saturday night, accounting for two of the team's trips to the end zone. However, Wilson will remain the team's starter heading into the Week 1 NFC East clash with the Washington Commanders. While Wilson's position on the depth chart won't make him a trustworthy fantasy option, he still deserves starting consideration in Superflex formats. With that in mind, if he goes down with an injury or plays poorly, Dart may find himself under center. If that happens, Wilson may not be able to reclaim his place as the No. 1 option on the depth chart. The Giants will close out the preseason against the New England Patriots on Thursday evening.Source: ESPN
New York Giants quarterback Tanner Scott, Kirby Yates to Begin Triple-A Rehab Assignments on Aug. 19
Tanner Scott (elbow) and Kirby Yates (back) will begin rehab assignments with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday. Scott has been on the 15-day injured list since July 22 with inflammation in his left elbow, while Yates has been on the shelf since July 29 with pain in his lower back. The Dodgers expect the two to return later this month, and they'll be glad to get both high-leverage relievers back for the last few weeks of the season as they battle the San Diego Padres for an NL West title. Fantasy managers should expect Scott to resume his role as the Dodgers' closer when he returns. Although Scott has had a relatively disappointing season, the Dodgers haven't found a better answer for the closer job in his absence. They have the majors' third-most blown saves (six) since the All-Star break.Source: MLB.com
Los Angeles Dodgers relievers Denzel Clarke Suffers Setback
Denzel Clarke (hip) suffered a setback while on a rehab assignment on Friday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports. The Athletics will re-evaluate Clarke, who had just begun his Triple-A rehab on Friday. The 25-year-old landed on the 10-day injured list with a right adductor strain on July 21, and this setback should keep him out beyond the one-month mark. A rookie defensive standout, Clarke has hit .230/.274/.372 with three homers, eight RBI, 18 runs, and six steals over 47 games and 159 plate appearances.Source: Martin Gallegos - MLB.com
Athletics outfielder Jaxson Dart Plays Well on Saturday Night
Jaxson Dart played well in Saturday's 31-12 win over the New York Jets. The rookie threw for 137 yards off 14-for-16 passing. He also accounted for two touchdowns, finding tight end Greg Dulcich in the third quarter for a 20-yard score before capping off his night with a trip to the end zone off a one-yard run. Dart, the No. 25 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has looked good throughout the preseason. While Russell Wilson is the starter heading into Week 1, Dart should enter the equation at some point. He may not get a chance to start in 2025, limiting his redraft value. However, the 22-year-old has plenty of upside for dynasty managers. With two wins in the books, the Giants will close out the preseason on Thursday night versus the New England Patriots.Source: ESPN
New York Giants quarterback Tyler Wells Goes Five Innings in Triple-A Rehab Start
Tyler Wells (elbow) lasted five innings in his third Triple-A rehab start on Friday. Wells allowed three earned runs on six hits and posted five strikeouts against one walk on 77 pitches (52 strikes). He's expected to make at least one more start with Triple-A Norfolk before pitching for the Orioles for the first time since April 2024. Wells underwent elbow surgery in June 2024 and has spent over a year recovering. He was a solid part of the O's rotation from 2022-23, a 48-appearance span in which he made 43 starts and logged a 3.93 ERA with 7.8 K/9 and 2.5 BB/9 in 222 1/3 innings. With the 30-year-old continuing to build up his pitch count in the minors, he'll be a candidate to rejoin Baltimore's rotation when he comes back.Source: MiLB.com
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Malik Willis Goes for 83 Yards in Inefficient Preseason Start vs. Colts
Malik Willis played the first three series for the Packers on Saturday afternoon as Green Bay edged by the Indianapolis Colts 23-19. Willis put up 83 passing yards on just 6-of-14 passing, as even if starting quarterback Jordan Love (thumb) had been healthy, Willis was likely starting this game anyway. With Love's injured thumb likely sidelining him for the preseason finale next week, Willis' snaps were probably handled a bit more cautiously as he's slated to start the season as Love's backup if needed. Love is expected to start for the Packers in Week 1 at home against the Detroit Lions, but Willis shouldn't be rostered in any fantasy football leagues unless the team rules out Love for the Packers' season opener.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers quarterback Victor Scott II Exits Early With Sprained Ankle
Victor Scott II (ankle) sprained his left ankle and had to leave early on Saturday against the New York Yankees, John Denton of MLB.com reports. Scott suffered the injury trying to rob Aaron Judge of a home run in the third inning. He stayed in the game and played through the discomfort until the Cardinals replaced him with pinch-hitter Garrett Hampson in the sixth. Scott ended the night 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored, and the 24-year-old speedster is now hitting .223/.311/.312 with five homers, 35 RBI, 49 runs scored, and 31 stolen bases over 402 plate appearances. It's not yet clear whether he'll require a stint on the 10-day injured list. UPDATE: Scott is undergoing an MRI exam, according to manager Oliver Marmol. If he cannot play on Sunday, the Cardinals will need to make a roster move.Source: John Denton - MLB.com
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Emanuel Wilson Totals a Team-High 65 Total Yards in Packers 23-19 Victory
Emanuel Wilson was a distant third in the running back pecking order as Green Bay squeezed by the Indianapolis Colts 23-19 in the Packers' second preseason contest. Wilson got his first touch early in the second quarter when MarShawn Lloyd and Chris Brooks were done for the day, and received his final snaps at the end of the first half. Totaling 65 total yards on five carries and one catch on two targets, Wilson led the Packers' skill-position players in total yards. Despite that, it seems like Wilson might be the odd man out in the running back room after the second preseason game. With Wilson seemingly fourth among running backs in Green Bay, he shouldn't be drafted in any fantasy leagues going forward.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers running back Chris Brooks Sees Two Carries, Mixes in With Starters in Packers Preseason Victory
Chris Brooks looked to continue carving out a role in the Packers' backfield and stated his case in the team's 23-19 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday afternoon. Mixing in with MarShawn Lloyd, Brooks saw the second-most snaps with the Packers' starters, per Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke. Seeing mostly late-down work, particularly on third down, Brooks may have an opening to see a little bit of work behind Josh Jacobs and Lloyd as the third running back, ahead of Emanuel Wilson. From Week 6 through the end of last season, Brooks averaged 15 snaps a game for the Packers in 2024 as the third back in a rotation with Jacobs and Wilson. Brooks looks to be in line for that same role this season, but unfortunately, it's not a fantasy-friendly role, even with an injury ahead of him. Keep him undrafted or on waivers to begin the season.Source: ESPN

Marcus Semien Avoids Serious Injury
Marcus Semien (hand) was absent from the starting lineup during Saturday's loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. Semien missed this game after waking up on Saturday with a swollen wrist after getting hit by a pitch during Friday's contest. He underwent X-rays which came back negative for any fractures or serious damage. That being said, Semien could miss a few days until the swelling goes down, but he shouldn't require a stint on the injured list. Fantasy managers should check back on Sunday for another update on his status.Source: Shawn McFarland
Texas Rangers second baseman Vinnie Pasquantino Removed Early on Saturday
Vinnie Pasquantino (illness) was removed early during Saturday's game against the Chicago White Sox. Pasquantino was pulled out of the game after his first-inning strikeout due to a heat related illness. This doesn't sound like a serious issue, so Pasquantino should be back in the lineup in a day or two. Nick Loftin took over at first base on Saturday. He could see a start or two over there if Pasquantino misses more time. Fantasy managers should check back on Sunday for another update.Source: Kansas City Royals
