Jonathan Mingo Catches Big Pass Against Baltimore
Jonathan Mingo (knee) was targeted four times during Saturday's preseason contest against the Baltimore Ravens, but he caught just one pass for 49 yards. All four of Mingo's targets came from Milton, suggesting that the young receiver has a role with the second-team offense. Milton enjoyed targeting Mingo deep downfield, as evidenced by his 49-yard reception. Milton also took a deep shot downfield to the receiver, but it was intercepted in the end zone. Mingo, 24, played in 17 games last season, splitting time with the Panthers and Cowboys. Through eight games with Dallas, he caught just five passes for 46 yards. He's slated to occupy a similar low-volume role once again this year, as he remains buried on the depth chart behind players like CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Jalen Tolbert. UPDATE: Mingo was ruled out after catching his 49-yard pass and was flexing his right knee.
