Nathan Eovaldi To Throw Simulated Game This Week
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) will throw a simulated game in New York on Thursday or Friday. Eovaldi had surgery to remove loose bodies from his right elbow and has been out since April 20. The hard-throwing right-hander got off to a bad start in 2019, posting a 6.00 ERA with 11 walks and 16 strikeouts in 21 innings over his four starts. He proved last postseason that he can be much better than that, and his strikeout upside will play in most mixed leagues if he's healthy. He should be able to return around the middle of June.
