Najee Harris To Work Out At Second Pro Day
4 years agoAlabama star running back Najee Harris (ankle) will work out for scouts at his school's second Pro Day on Tuesday and will go through position drills. However, he won't run the 40-yard dash while continuing to train through an ankle injury that he suffered late last season. Harris grinded through the injury during the Senior Bowl and is hoping to put his best foot forward in front of scouts. The 23-year-old is vying with Clemson's Travis Etienne to be the top running back taken in the 2021 draft. The 6-foot-, 230-pounder was a workhorse, running for 3,843 yards on 638 carries with 46 rushing touchdowns at Alabama. He had 1,200-plus yards in each of the last two years in college. Harris also had 80 catches for 781 yards and 11 touchdowns, with most of the production coming in his final two seasons. NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah has compared Harris to former Bears Pro Bowl back Matt Forte.
