Nacho Alvarez Jr. Finishes Rehab Assignment
Nacho Alvarez Jr. (wrist) from his rehab assignment, reinstated him from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Gwinnett. Alvarez originally suffered a wrist injury back in February and has missed the entire 2025 season to this point. While the 22-year-old may eventually become an option at the big-league level, he will begin his season with the Stripers. The team's No. 3 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, made his major-league debut last year and went just 3-for-30 with a run scored and 10 strikeouts in his first eight games with the Braves. He will play regularly for Gwinnett for now but offers infield depth around the diamond for the Braves. During his rehab assignment, Alvarez hit .364 (4-for-11) with a double, two RBI and three runs scored.
