Mike Evans Could Get A New Deal
1 year agoRecent regimen changes have Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans feeling like he could play well into his 30s. He'll turn 30 this month, and he's entering the last year of his current deal with a $23.7 million salary cap hit. The sense out of Buccaneers training camp is that a new deal for Evans is possible. "Finishing my career with one team, that would be awesome to do that," Evans said. "I'm sure they want that, and I want it as well. Hopefully we can get an extension. Would be good for both parties." The four-time Pro Bowler has been showing nice chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield, who has the leg up to enter the 2023 season as the starter under center. Evans, a four-time Pro Bowler, is losing future Hall of Famer Tom Brady this year, which will inevitably tank his fantasy value to a much more touchdown-dependent WR3.
