Mike Evans Could Get A New Deal
Mike Evans feeling like he could play well into his 30s. He'll turn 30 this month, and he's entering the last year of his current deal with a $23.7 million salary cap hit. The sense out of Buccaneers training camp is that a new deal for Evans is possible. "Finishing my career with one team, that would be awesome to do that," Evans said. "I'm sure they want that, and I want it as well. Hopefully we can get an extension. Would be good for both parties." The four-time Pro Bowler has been showing nice chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield, who has the leg up to enter the 2023 season as the starter under center. Evans, a four-time Pro Bowler, is losing future Hall of Famer Tom Brady this year, which will inevitably tank his fantasy value to a much more touchdown-dependent WR3.
