Miguel Cabrera Sitting Saturday
6 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera (knee) is out of the starting lineup on Saturday after leaving the game early on Friday with knee soreness. He is undergoing an MRI exam and could land on the injured list, depending on the results. Miggy has hit well with a .284 batting average, but he has just two home runs, 14 runs and 22 RBI in his 194 at-bats on a rebuilding Tigers team. The 36-year-old has struggled with lower-body injuries the last few years, so don't be surprised if he has to hit the shelf for a little while. John Hicks is starting at first and is batting fifth against Braves starting pitcher Mike Soroka on Saturday afternoon.
