Miguel Cabrera Exits Early With Groin Tightness
4 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera (groin) exited Tuesday's contest early due to tightness in his left groin, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press. The move was made as a precaution according to the team, as Cabrera had gone 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored against the Brewers prior to the exit. Cabrera has struggled at the plate this year with a .184/.263/.279 triple-slash line, but he has heated up a bit at the plate recently, slashing .253/.329/.333 with two home runs, 12 RBI and six runs scored over his last 20 games. Despite the recent uptick in production, Cabrera is really only an option in very deep-mixed leagues and deep AL-only formats.
