Michael Wacha Goes on Paternity List
Michael Wacha on the paternity list and recalled right-hander Stephen Kolek from Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move. Wacha will be away from the team for a few days, which puts his next scheduled start on Sunday against the division-rival Detroit Tigers in question. Left-hander Noah Cameron would be on normal rest for Game 2 of the series on Saturday, but the Royals listed that day as TBA for a starter. Depending on when Wacha returns to the Royals, the team could push Cameron back to Sunday and have Kolek make his debut with the team on Saturday. In any event, fantasy managers need to be prepared for Wacha to potentially miss his start this weekend. The 34-year-old veteran has gone 8-10 in 2025 with a decent 3.39 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and only 108 strikeouts in 148 2/3 innings over 26 starts. UPDATE: Wacha is still scheduled to start on Sunday in the series finale.
