Michael Conforto Playing The Outfield Thursday
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Conforto (shoulder) is playing the outfield in a Cactus League game on Thursday for the first time since 2021. He's officially starting in right field and batting leadoff against the Milwaukee Brewers and right-hander Freddy Peralta. Conforto's shoulder rehab has gone well in spring training, so he'll be a real option for the Giants in right field for the regular season. The 30-year-old left-handed slugger missed all of 2022 after having shoulder surgery, but he appears to be fully healthy now and will be a regular in his first year in the Bay Area. Conforto is tough to project coming off the injury, but he could be a good bet to hit 15 to 20 homers for the Giants and fantasy managers if he can stay healthy.
