Matt Breida Gets One-Year Deal From Bills
4 years agoThe Buffalo Bills are expected to sign former Miami Dolphins running back Matt Breida on Thursday, according to a source. Breida will stay in the AFC East on an undisclosed one-year deal. After three seasons to begin his career with the San Francisco 49ers, the 26-year-old played for Miami last season, carrying the ball a career-low 59 times for 254 yards and no touchdowns while adding nine receptions for 96 yards. Both he and Jordan Howard were big free-agent disappointments for Miami's backfield in 2020. In Buffalo, Breida is likely vying for the No. 3 job behind Devin Singletary and Zack Moss. Breida has some speed to spare and could be a nice change-of-pace back for depth in Buffalo. This could be more of a committee approach, though, which would likely give fantasy managers plenty of headaches.
