Mark Canha is Throwing but Not Hitting
Mark Canha (elbow) continues to recover from left elbow epicondylitis, which landed him on the 10-day injured list earlier this month. He is reportedly feeling much better after receiving an injection to help with his elbow soreness, and he has been able to resume throwing and playing catch. He has not yet been able to get back to hitting, though, so he may need a little more time to recover. In his 46 games with the Royals this year, Canha is hitting just .212 with one home run and a .244 wOBA. He has still been mentioned in trade rumors for teams looking to add a proven veteran bat, but he'll need to show he's healthy and ready to contribute for the stretch run. The latest reports, though, do make it sound like he's on his way back relatively soon.
