Kyle Teel Tallies 11th Home Run Of The Season
4 months agoBoston Red Sox catching prospect Kyle Teel went 2-for-4 with a home run on Friday evening. Across his past eight games, the young backstop has held a strong .300/.405/.567 slash line with two home runs, five RBI, a 6:8 BB:K ratio, and two stole bases. Overall, the number 24th ranked prospect in all of baseball on MLB.com has looked quite comfortable at Double-A this summer, boasting a .294/.387/.456 slash line. Last summer, Teel logged only 26 games at the lower levels of the minor leagues after being selected with the 14th overall selection out of Virginia. The 22-year-old has continued to progress through the minor leagues rather quickly and has yet to face a major roadblock. Teel should see time in the big leagues next summer and could get a taste of Triple-A in the coming weeks.
