Jose Siri Not Running at 100 Percent
Jose Siri (leg) still hasn't gotten to 100 percent in his running progression, according to The Athletic's Tim Britton. Manager Carlos Mendoza said that Siri wasn't all that close to returning last week. Siri continues to rehab from a fractured left tibia that he suffered on April 12. Although he's doing some running and was able to take batting practice last week, the 29-year-old's return from the injured list remains up in the air. When he does return to the big-league roster, he'll be in a part-time role in center field, at best, with Tyrone Taylor. The Dominican outfielder is more of a glove-first outfielder and had gone just 1-for-20 with an RBI and two stolen bases in his first 10 games for the Mets this year before getting injured.
